SmartVPN Connection Pricing Structure
Usage fees apply when you create a SmartVPN Connection using the OCX Management Portal. This page explains how SmartVPN Connection usage fees are incurred and how to verify them.
SmartVPN Connection Billing Start
The billing start date is the earlier of the 90th day from the day after you create (purchase) the SmartVPN Connection or the service activation date.
Service activation date: The day the SmartVPN Connection activation work is completed and the status becomes available.
SmartVPN Connection Fees
After you apply for OCX, you will be billed a one-time Initial Fee and a recurring Monthly Fee.
Initial Fee
The initial fee is billed once after billing starts. You will be billed in the month following the month that includes the billing start date.

Monthly Fee
The monthly fee is calculated by prorating the period from the billing start date to the end of that month on a daily basis, and summing the amounts. Daily proration is calculated using the number of calendar days in the month that includes the billing start date.

Billing End for SmartVPN Connection
The billing end date for SmartVPN Connection usage fees is the date the SmartVPN Connection decommissioning is completed (the point at which it disappears from the list in the Management Portal). If a SmartVPN Connection is decommissioned in the middle of a month, the monthly fee for that month will be prorated on a daily basis using the calendar days of that month.
How to Verify SmartVPN Connection Usage Fees
- Log in to the OCX Management Portal.
- To view billing amounts, click [Settings] > [Billing Information] from the left navigation bar.
- A billing list will appear. Click the billing month you want to review.
- A list of resources used in that month will be displayed. Check the details where the resource type is SmartVPN Connection.
Note: The billing amounts shown in the OCX Management Portal are estimates. Please refer to the invoice for the official billed amount.
