Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

For security purposes, the password reset URL can only be used once. Therefore, this error may occur in the following situations:

  1. Clicking the same URL multiple times: Since the URL becomes invalid once it has been accessed, attempting to access it again will result in an error. If you have already accessed it, please perform the password reset procedure again to issue a new URL.
  2. The URL is being automatically verified by an email security system: Even if you did not click it yourself, an email security tool may have accessed the URL to scan it, causing it to become invalid.

If you suspect Case 2, you may need to adjust your environment, such as changing email security settings or adding the domain to a "whitelist." If you are unable to change the email security settings yourself or have any questions, please contact OCX Support at support@ocx-cloud.net.

After creating a Physical Port and submitting a cross-connect request to the data center, how long does it take until it becomes available for use in OCX?

Once the data center operator establishes the cross-connect and the link-up of the corresponding port is confirmed, the status of the Physical Port will change to available within a maximum of 24 hours, completing the activation.

Note: It is also possible to activate the port before the link-up by performing a "Manual Activation." Activating the port allows for the creation of VCIs. For the manual activation procedure, please refer to Manual Activation of Physical Port.

Is it possible to change the bandwidth of a Cloud Connection?

The ability to change the speed (bandwidth) of a Cloud Connection varies depending on the cloud provider. For details, please refer to the modification page for each specific Cloud Connection.

Does a communication outage occur when changing the bandwidth of a Cloud Connection?

  • Increasing bandwidth: No communication outage occurs.
  • Decreasing bandwidth: While no total outage occurs, there is a possibility that packets exceeding the new limit may be dropped during the configuration change. (Based on ping verification results between BGP peers)

Is it possible to attach one Cloud Connection to multiple VCs?

No, it is not possible. A Cloud Connection can only be attached to one VC. The same specification applies to VCIs, Router Connections, and Internet Connections.

Is it possible to use BFD for failure detection in a network built with OCX?

  • When using OCX-Router(v1): You can toggle the BFD function ON/OFF during the BGP Parameter creation procedure.
  • When using your own CPE: You should configure BFD between CPEs or between the CPE and each cloud gateway.

When setting up BFD on a CPE or cloud gateway, we recommend the following values, taking into account the latency of the OCX network and access sections:

BFD Control ParameterRecommended ValueDescription
Minimum Transmission Interval1,000 msecThe interval at which BFD packets are sent.
Detect Multiplier3 timesFailure is determined if BFD packets are not received consecutively for the specified number of times.

For BFD settings between the CPE and cloud gateways, you must follow the specifications provided by each respective cloud service provider.

What are the benefits of using OCX-Router(v1)?

By using OCX-Router(v1), you can utilize Cloud Connections and XaaS Connections even if you do not have a BGP-compatible router. BGP settings can be easily configured from the OCX Portal, making it convenient to manage and configure multiple connections. Furthermore, it is effective for optimizing communication paths as a routing point for traffic between sites or clouds.
