Creating a User

You can create new Users directly within the OCX Portal.
This page explains the step-by-step procedure for user creation.

Preparation​

  1. An OCX Portal account must already be configured.
  2. Your own User Role must be admin.

User Creation Procedure​

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

  2. From the left navigation bar, click [Settings] > [Users].

  3. On the Users list page, click [Create].

  4. Configure the following input items and click [Next].

    • First Name

      • Enter the given name of the person you wish to register.

    • Middle Name

      • Enter a middle name if applicable.

    • Last Name

      • Enter the family name.

    • First Name (Kana)

      • Enter the phonetic reading (furigana) of the first name.

    • Last Name (Kana)

      • Enter the phonetic reading (furigana) of the last name.

    • Email Address

      • Enter the user's email address.

    • Phone Number

      • Enter the user's phone number.

    • Role

      • Set the access permissions for the User.
      RolePermissions
      adminCan create (purchase), modify, and delete resources. Can also manage User roles and permissions.
      userCan create (purchase), modify, and delete resources.
      viewerCan only view existing resources. Cannot create, modify, or delete resources.

  5. You will proceed to the Preview screen. Review the details and click [Submit].

  6. A success pop-up message will appear, and you will be returned to the Users list page.

  7. An email with the subject "[OCX] Notification of Password Setup URL" will be sent from the OCX system to the registered email address. Click the password setup URL in the email to proceed to the password configuration screen and set a password of your choice. Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and include a combination of alphanumeric characters and symbols.

  8. Once the user completes the password setup, they will be added to the Users list page, and their status will change to Active.

This completes the User creation process.

Notes​

  • Password setup must be completed within 15 minutes of clicking the password setup URL in Step 7.
