Updating a Cloud Connection (Alibaba Cloud)

After creating a Cloud Connection, the following parameters can be changed:

• Name

• Speed/Bandwidth for certain clouds (availability depends on the cloud provider; see notes below for details)

• Note: Parameters not listed above (e.g., cloud-side Account ID) cannot be changed. To modify these, you must recreate the resource.

• Note: When recreating, fees based on the Cloud Connection Pricing Structure will be incurred.

Notes on Speed (Bandwidth) Changes

The process for changing speed (bandwidth) for a Cloud Connection depends on the specifications of each cloud provider. Please be aware of the differences.

Cloud Name	Bandwidth Change via OCX Portal	Remarks
AWS (Amazon Web Services)	Not Available	To change the bandwidth, you must recreate the Cloud Connection. Note that fees based on the Cloud Connection Pricing Structure will be incurred.
Azure	Available (Increase only)	After making changes in the OCX Portal, you must perform a bandwidth upgrade under "ExpressRoute circuits" in the Azure portal.
Google Cloud	Available (Increase/Decrease)	-
Sakura Cloud	Via Support Inquiry	To request a change, please contact us via the Contact Us on the Dashboard.
Oracle Cloud	Available (Increase/Decrease)	After making changes in the OCX Portal, you must update the bandwidth under "FastConnect" in the Oracle Cloud Console.
IBM Cloud	Available (Increase/Decrease)	After making changes in the OCX Portal, you must approve the change under "Direct Link" in the IBM Cloud Console.
Alibaba Cloud	Available (Increase/Decrease)	After making changes in the OCX Portal, you must update the bandwidth under "Physical Connection" in the Alibaba Cloud Console.

This page explains the procedure for updating a Cloud Connection (Alibaba Cloud) using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before updating the settings of a Cloud Connection (Alibaba Cloud):

1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
2. The status of the Cloud Connection you wish to change is available or attached.

Procedure for Updating a Cloud Connection (Alibaba Cloud)

1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

2. Click [Cloud Connections] from the left navigation bar.

3. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column on the right side of the corresponding Cloud Connection.

4. The screen will switch to the information input screen. Fill in the following items and click [Edit]. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

   • Name
     • Set any name you prefer.
     • Maximum length is 40 characters.
     • Any leading or trailing whitespace in the resource name will be automatically removed.
   • Speed (Bandwidth)
     • Select a value from 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500Mbps, 1, 2, or 5Gbps.

5. The [Confirm Update] pop-up will appear. Review the updated monthly fee and, if there are no issues, click [Edit].

6. You will be returned to the Cloud Connections list page. Confirm that the changes have been reflected.
