Decommissioning NAT IP Address
This page explains how to decommission (delete) a NAT IP address using the OCX Portal.
Preparation
Please confirm the following before decommissioning (deleting) a NAT IP address:
- Your User Role is either
adminoruser. - The target Internet Gateway resource is in either the
availableorattachedstatus.
Procedure for Decommissioning (Deletion) of NAT IP Address

Log in to the OCX Portal.

Click [Internet Gateways] from the left navigation bar.

From the Internet Gateways page, click the target Internet Gateway resource.

A detail screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Switch to the [NAT IP Address] tab.

Once the NAT IP address list is displayed, click the
Delete iconin the Actions column on the right side of the item you wish to decommission (delete). -
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Enter the ID and click the [Delete] button.
- To cancel the operation, click [Cancel].

Confirm that the corresponding NAT IP address has been removed from the list.
- The status of the Internet Gateway resource will change to updating, and the targeted NAT IP address will be labeled as "Deleting." It may take some time for the deletion to complete; please wait.
- You can update the status by clicking [Refresh] in the upper right corner.
This completes the decommissioning (deletion) of the NAT IP address.
Notes
- Initial NAT IP Address: This is the address automatically assigned upon the creation of the Internet Gateway resource. This specific NAT IP address cannot be deleted.
- Decommissioned (deleted) NAT IP addresses cannot be restored.
- Communication Interruption: When deleting a NAT IP address, all existing NAT sessions will be cleared.
- Consequently, a communication interruption will occur for all currently active NAT IP addresses on the target Internet Gateway resource, not just the one being deleted.
- Please be cautious if there are applications currently communicating via NAT.
- The duration of this interruption depends on the behavior of the application as it disconnects and attempts to reconnect sessions.
