Updating an Interface

This page explains the procedure for updating an Interface using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before updating an Interface:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. The status of the configured Interface is either available or activated.

Procedure for Updating an Interface

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

  2. Click [OCX-Router(v1)] from the left navigation bar.

  3. On the [OCX-Router(v1)] page, click the specific Interface you wish to modify.

  4. The details panel will appear at the bottom. Click the [Edit] button located on the right side of the details panel.

  5. The screen will switch to the settings modification step. The following items can be modified. After completing the input for the items you wish to change, click [Update].

    • Interface Name

      • Enter an arbitrary name (max 40 characters) for easier identification.
      • Leading and trailing whitespaces are automatically removed.
    • IPv4 (Toggle OFF to hide if not used)

      • Local IPv4 Address
        • Enter the real IPv4 address of the interface in CIDR (IPv4/mask) format (e.g., 192.168.0.1/24).
      • VRRP Virtual IPv4 Address
        • Enter the virtual IPv4 address for VRRP (e.g., 192.168.0.254).
      • VRRP IPv4 Virtual Router ID (VRID)
        • Enter an arbitrary number between 1 and 255. We recommend planning your VRID specifications in advance when using VRRP between your equipment and the Primary/Secondary routers.
    • IPv6 (Toggle OFF to hide if not used)

      • Local IPv6 Address
        • Enter the real IPv6 address of the interface in IPv6/mask format (e.g., 2001:db8::dead:beef/96).
      • VRRP Virtual IPv6 Address
        • Enter the virtual IPv6 address for VRRP (e.g., 2001:db8::dead:fffe).
      • VRRP IPv6 Virtual Router ID (VRID)
        • Enter an arbitrary number between 1 and 255.
  6. A confirmation pop-up will appear. If the details are correct, click [Update].

  7. Confirm that the changes are reflected in the details panel at the bottom of the screen. Note: If the status is updating, the process is still underway. Once completed, the status will change to available or attached. Note: Click [Refresh] in the upper right corner to update the current status.

This completes the update of the Interface.
