Creating a Static Route
This page explains how to use the Create Static Route function on the OCX Portal.
Static Routes allow you to manually specify the connection path (destination) for a Tunnel Gateway by defining individual routing rules.
Preparation
Please confirm the following before creating a Static Route:
- Your User Role is either
adminoruser. - The status of the target Tunnel Gateway is either
availableorattached.
Procedure for Creating a Static Route
- Log in to the OCX Portal.
- Click [Tunnel Gateways] from the left navigation bar.
- On the Tunnel Gateways page, click the relevant Tunnel Gateway resource.
- The details screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Switch to the [Static Routes] tab and click the [Create Static Route] button.
- You will proceed to the Static Route configuration step. Set the following input items and click [Create].
- Prefix
- Enter the IP address of the network you wish to add in CIDR (IPv4/mask) format (e.g.,
192.168.0.0/24). - Note: Please ensure you enter the network address.
- Enter the IP address of the network you wish to add in CIDR (IPv4/mask) format (e.g.,
- Next Hop
- Enter the IP address of the relay point (Next Hop) for the destination network (e.g.,
192.168.0.254). - Note: You cannot set the address to a network address, a broadcast address, or an address that is outside the range of your own Tunnel Gateway.
- Enter the IP address of the relay point (Next Hop) for the destination network (e.g.,
- Prefix
- A creation confirmation pop-up will appear. Review the settings and click [Create].
- The Static Routes list will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, showing the Static Route you just created.
This completes the procedure for creating a Static Route.
