Connecting a Line

This page explains how to connect an optical line to a Tunnel Gateway using the OCX Portal.

Preparation​

Please confirm the following before adding a line:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. The status of the target Tunnel Gateway is either available or attached.
  3. The contract status of the OCX Hikari Private line to be connected is In Service.
  4. The status of the OCX Hikari Private resource to be connected is available.

Procedure for Connecting a Line​

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.
  2. Click [Tunnel Gateways] from the left navigation bar.
  3. On the Tunnel Gateways page, click the relevant Tunnel Gateway resource.
  4. The details screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Switch to the [Connected Lines] tab and click the [Connect Line] button.
  5. You will proceed to the "Connect Line" configuration step. Set the following input items and click [Create].
    • Line Name
      • Select the OCX Hikari Private line you wish to connect from the dropdown menu.
    • On-Premises Network Address
      • Specify your on-premises network address.
      • Use the CIDR (IPv4/mask) format.
      • The "On-Premises Network Address" refers to the address of the local network connected to the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment).
      • This address must be unique and cannot overlap with other network addresses on the same Tunnel Gateway.
  6. A creation confirmation pop-up will appear. Review the settings and click [Create].
  7. The Connected Lines list will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, showing the line you just connected.

This completes the line connection procedure.
