Updating a Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI)

After creating a Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI), you can modify the name, VLAN ID, and speed (bandwidth).
In this document, “VCI” is used as an abbreviation.

This page explains the procedure for updating a VCI using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Before updating the VCI settings, please confirm the following:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. The status of the target VCI is available.

Procedure for Updating a Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI)

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

  2. From the left navigation bar, click [Virtual Circuit Interfaces (VCIs)].

  3. In the [Actions] column of the target VCI item, click the Edit icon. (For details, see Actions.)

  4. The input screen will be displayed. Enter the following information and click [Update].
Items marked with * are required.

    • Name

      • Enter any name of your choice. When managing multiple VCIs, using an easily identifiable name is recommended.
      • The maximum length is 40 characters.
      • Leading and trailing spaces in the resource name are automatically trimmed.
    • VLAN ID

      • Specify a number between 2 and 4000.
      • When configuring, it is recommended to design and confirm the VLAN IDs in advance, considering those used on-premises, other VCIs at different locations, and VLAN IDs used for Cloud Connections.
    • Speed (Bandwidth)

      • Select a value between 1 and 10 Gbps.
      • It is also possible to purchase bandwidth that exceeds the Physical Port speed (overcommit).
  5. A Confirm Update Settings pop-up will appear. Review the cost associated with the update and click [Update].

  6. The Virtual Circuit Interfaces list page will be displayed. Confirm that the updated settings are reflected.

This completes the update of the Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI).
