Decommissioning (Deleting) SIM Target Route

This page explains how to decommission (delete) a SIM Target Route resource from a Virtual Mobile Gateway using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before decommissioning (deleting) a SIM Target Route resource:

  • Your User Role is either admin or user.
  • The status of the target Virtual Mobile Gateway is activated.

Procedure for Decommissioning (Deleting) SIM Target Route

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.
  2. Click [Access Lines] from the left navigation bar.
  3. When the [Access Lines] sub-menu appears, click [Virtual Mobile Gateways (VMGs)].
  4. From the Virtual Mobile Gateways page, click the target Virtual Mobile Gateway resource.
  5. The details panel will appear at the bottom of the screen. Switch to the SIM Target Routes tab.
  6. Once the SIM Target Route list is displayed, click the Delete icon in the Actions column on the right side of the target SIM Target Route.
  7. A deletion confirmation pop-up will appear. Enter the IPv4 prefix of the target SIM Target Route and click the [Delete] button.
To cancel the operation, click [Cancel].
  8. Confirm that the relevant SIM Target Route resource has been removed from the list at the bottom of the screen.
Note: You can update the status by clicking [Refresh] in the upper right corner.

This completes the decommissioning (deletion) of the SIM Target Route resource.

Notes

  • When decommissioned (deleted), the route advertisement to the BGP neighbors is withdrawn, and traffic to the IPv4 prefix is no longer delivered to the target SIM.
  • Decommissioned (deleted) SIM Target Route resources cannot be restored.
