Virtual Circuit (VC) Pricing Structure
When creating a Virtual Circuit (VC) via the OCX Portal, usage charges apply only when two areas are selected.
No charges will be incurred if only one area is selected.
In this document, “VC” is used as an abbreviation for Virtual Circuit.
This page explains when VC usage charges are incurred and how to check them.
Virtual Circuit (VC) Pricing
After applying for OCX, charges consist of a one-time initial fee and a monthly recurring fee.
The fees are determined by the combination of areas selected.
Initial Fee
The initial fee is charged once after the VC is created (purchased).
Billing and payment will be made in the month following the month in which the billing start date falls.

Monthly Fee
The date on which we approve the VC creation (purchase) is considered the billing start date.
The total charge for the first month is calculated by prorating the fee based on the number of days from the billing start date through the end of that month.
Proration is calculated using the total number of calendar days in the month in which the billing start date falls.

Termination of Virtual Circuit (VC) Billing
The billing end date for VC usage charges is the date on which the VC decommissioning is completed
(i.e., when the VC is no longer displayed in the portal list).
If a VC is terminated partway through a month, the monthly fee for that month will be prorated based on the number of calendar days.
Steps to Verify Virtual Circuit (VC) Usage Charges
- Log in to the OCX Portal.
- From the navigation bar on the left, click [Settings] > [Billing Information].
- A list of invoices will be displayed. Click the billing month you wish to review.
- A list of resources used during that month will be shown. Please check the line items where the resource type is VC.
Note: The charges displayed in the OCX Portal are estimates. Please refer to the invoice for the final billed amount.
