Decommissioning (Deletion) of a Virtual Circuit (VC)

This page explains how to decommission (delete) a Virtual Circuit (VC) using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before decommissioning (deleting) a VC:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. Ensure that no resources (VCI, Cloud Connection, Router Connection, Internet Connection, Internet Gateway, Tunnel Gateway, XaaS Connection, VMG Instance, or SmartVPN Interface) are currently attached to the VC you intend to delete.

Procedure for Decommissioning (Deleting) a Virtual Circuit (VC)

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

  2. Click [Virtual Circuits (VCs)] from the left navigation bar.

  3. Once the [Virtual Circuits (VCs)] page is displayed, click the Delete icon in the Actions column on the right side of the item you wish to delete.

  4. A [Confirm Deletion] pop-up will appear. Enter the Resource Name and click [Delete] to proceed.
    To cancel the operation, click [Cancel].

  5. Confirm that the relevant VC has been removed from the list.

Notes

  • A decommissioned (deleted) Virtual Circuit (VC) cannot be restored.
