Updating Address Pool

This page explains the procedure for updating an Address Pool resource using the OCX Portal.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before updating an Address Pool:

  1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
  2. The Virtual Mobile Gateway resource to which the target Address Pool belongs is in the available status.

Remarks

Regarding changes to the IPv4 prefix, you can only expand the address space consecutively from the current prefix.

Procedure for Updating an Address Pool

  1. Log in to the OCX Portal.
  2. Click [Access Lines] from the left navigation bar.
  3. When the [Access Lines] sub-menu appears, click [Virtual Mobile Gateways (VMGs)].
  4. From the Virtual Mobile Gateways page, click the target Virtual Mobile Gateway resource.
  5. The details panel will appear at the bottom of the screen. Switch to the [Address Pools] tab.
  6. Once the Address Pool list is displayed, click the Edit icon in the Actions column on the right side of the target Address Pool.
  7. The screen will switch to the configuration update steps. The following items can be modified. After completing the input for the items you wish to change, click [Update].
    • Name
      • Enter an arbitrary name. A recognizable name makes management easier.
      • Maximum length is 40 characters.
      • Leading and trailing whitespaces are automatically removed.
    • IPv4 Prefix
      • Enter the IPv4 address prefix to be assigned to the SIMs belonging to this Address Pool.
      • Note: Prefixes can only be expanded into contiguous address spaces.
    • Primary IPv4 DNS Address
      • Enter the IPv4 address of the DNS server to be used by SIMs in this Address Pool.
    • Secondary IPv4 DNS Address
      • Enter the IPv4 address of the secondary DNS server to be used by SIMs in this Address Pool.
  8. A confirmation pop-up will appear. If there are no issues with the details, click [Update].
  9. The Address Pools list will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Confirm that the changes are reflected.

This completes the update of the Address Pool resource.
