Updating an OPTAGE Connection

This page explains the procedure for updating an OPTAGE Connection using the OCX Portal.

Notes on Speed (Bandwidth) Changes

When changing the speed (bandwidth) of an OPTAGE Connection, please perform the bandwidth change operation on the OCX Portal after the OPTAGE VPN Service bandwidth change has been completed.

Preparation

Please confirm the following before updating an OPTAGE Connection:

1. Your User Role is either admin or user.
2. The status of the OPTAGE Connection is activating, available, or attached.
3. The OPTAGE VPN Service bandwidth upgrade has been completed.

Procedure for Updating an OPTAGE Connection

1. Log in to the OCX Portal.

2. From the left navigation bar, click [OPTAGE Connection] under [Access Partner Connections].

3. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column on the right side of the target OPTAGE Connection.

4. The information entry screen will appear. Fill in the following items and click [Update]. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

   • Name
     • Enter an arbitrary name.
     • The maximum number of characters is 40.
     • Leading and trailing whitespace characters in the resource name are automatically removed.
   • Speed (Bandwidth)
     • Select from 100M to 1Gbps.
   • Circuit ID
     • Enter the Circuit ID of the OPTAGE VPN Service.
     • The Circuit ID is a 12-digit number.

5. A [Confirm Update] pop-up will appear. If the content is correct, click [Update].

6. The OPTAGE Connection list page will be displayed, and the status of the updated OPTAGE Connection will become updating. Confirm that the status returns to the same status as before the change (activating, available, or attached). If only the name was changed, the update completes immediately. If the speed was changed, some processing time is required.
