Create an OPTAGE Connection

This page explains how to create an OPTAGE Connection using the OCX Management Portal.

An OPTAGE Connection creates two interfaces at once.(Interfaces will be created for JP-West-0027 in the site list.) Configuring one resource with two interfaces ensures connection redundancy.

Preparation​

Before creating an OPTAGE Connection, confirm the following:

  1. Your user role has either admin or user permissions.
  2. You have subscribed to the OPTAGE VPN service.

Notes​

OPTAGE Connection provides connectivity between the OPTAGE VPN service and OCX. It is independent of the OPTAGE VPN service offered by OPTAGE Inc.

Creating an OPTAGE Connection​

  1. Sign in to the OCX Management Portal.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose OPTAGE Connection.

  3. On the OPTAGE Connection list page, choose [Create].

  4. On the Create OPTAGE Connection page, configure the following settings, and then choose [Create]. Fields marked with * are required.

    • Name
      • Enter a name for the connection. If you plan to create multiple OPTAGE Connections, use a name that helps you easily identify the resource.
      • Maximum length: 40 characters.
      • Leading and trailing spaces are automatically removed.
    • Speed (Bandwidth)
      • Select a bandwidth from 100M to 1 Gbps.
    • Region
      • West Japan is the only available region.

  5. In the Create Confirmation dialog box, review the information, and then choose [Create].

  6. After the OPTAGE Connection list page appears, verify that the status of the new OPTAGE Connection is activating.

  7. When the provisioning process is complete, the status changes to available. The OPTAGE Connection is then ready for use.

  8. After the status changes to available, you can attach the OPTAGE VPN service interface to the VC.

Notes​

Billing starts when the OPTAGE Connection status changes to available.
